Autumn term is almost upon us and we will be back practising from Tuesday 9th Septmber at Penrith Methodist Church on the corner of Wordsworth Street every Tuesday evening from 7.15 - 9pm.

We will be preparing for our Christmas concert which will take place on

Thursday 11th December.

The musical programme will include some favourite Christmas songs arranged by Alexander l'Estrange and Peter Gritton and carols by Rutter, Stopford and Berlioz - a great variety to say the least!

Newcomers are always welcome, so if you like the sound of all that do come along

and try us out.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Rachel Allgood, Musical Director

The Eden Singers is a community choir of all ages drawn from the Eden area of Cumbria. Our aim is to provide enjoyment, both for our members and audiences, by performing a wide variety of music styles. We are a mixed choir singing in 4-parts: sopranos, altos, tenors and basses.

If you are interested in joining, please refer to our web site page Contact us . You may also be interested to listen to the sort of music we sing and perform . Go to our "Hear us " page .

The choir holds its rehearsals at the Penrith Methodist  Church on Wordsworth Street, Penrith, on Tuesday nights, from 7.15pm to 9.00pm. The first set of rehearsals begins in early September culminating in a concert held at Penrith Methodist Church, Wordsworth Street, Penrith in early December.  The second set of rehearsals follows a similar pattern beginning in early January with a concert being held in April.

Since the retirement of John Helyer as musical director in May 2023 after many years developing the choir, Rachel Allgood took over in September 2023. Rachel will be familiar to our audiences as she has conducted the choir in recent concerts. For the coming season she will be supported by John Helyer who is kindly returning as accompanist.
